I love the song “Erase” by LAR and Nu-La!
In listening to the song and creating this image, I had to “erase” the image, the heartache, and the pain!
https://pixels.com/featured/erase-allison-constantino.html
“Erase”
By LAR & Nu-La
We can erase this,
We can erase this,
We can erase these memories faded
Two lovers lost, but not forgot, just waiting
We’re elated, hearts elevated
I know time has passed, our love will last through the ages
Raise us up, from the dust
Out of sight, and now my mind’s stop racing
Feel your touch, It’s enough
In my eyes, there’s hope inside the aching
We can erase this

“Sea of Love” 8×10 Fluid Acrylic Pour on 1″ Sustainable Wood – (the original is unframed)
This acrylic pour image reminds me of getting lost in a “Sea of Love.”
In the song, “Sara,” Stevie Nicks writes:
Drowning
In the sea of love
Where everyone would love to drown
Isn’t that where we’d all love to drown?
Nicks wrote this song, partially about her friend Sara Recor that, at the time Stevie was dating Mick Fleetwood, he was also dating Sara, whom he eventually married.
It was a tumultuous time for the band and caused a great deal of pain for everyone at the time.
This original acrylic pour is created on 1″ sustainable wood.

“Running in the Shadows “ Original 8×10 Acrylic on Hardboard
This image is inspired by the lyrics of the Fleetwood Mac song, “The Chain”
“The Chain”
Songwriters: Christine McVie / John McVie / Lindsey Buckingham / Mick Fleetwood / Stephanie Nicks
Listen to the wind blow, watch the sun rise
Running in the shadows, damn your love, damn your lies
And if you don’t love me now
You will never love me again
I can still hear you saying
You would never break the chain (never break the chain)
And if you don’t love me now (you don’t love me now)
You will never love me again
I can still hear you saying (still hear you saying)
You would never break the chain (never break the chain)
Listen to the wind blow, down comes the night
Running in the shadows, damn your love, damn your lies
Break the silence, damn the dark, damn the light
And if you don’t love me now
You will never love me again
I can still hear you saying
You would never break the chain (never break the chain)
And if you don’t love me now (you don’t love me now)
You will never love me again
I can still hear you saying (still hear you saying)
You would never break the chain (never break the chain)
And if you don’t love me now (you don’t love me now)
You will never love me again
I can still hear you saying (still hear you saying)
You would never break the chain (never break the chain)
Chain keep us together (running in the shadow)
Chain keep us together (running in the shadow)
Chain keep us together (running in the shadow)
Chain keep us together (running in the shadow)
Chain keep us together (running in the shadow)
I as completely blown-away by these specific lyrics:
Listen to the wind blow, down comes the night
Running in the shadows, damn your love, damn your lies
Break the silence, damn the dark, damn the light
This image of a snowstorm, wind blowing, night falling comes into my mind.
Running in the shadows, damning your love and your lies.
Haven’t we all been there in that “shadow hell,” where we can’t seem to find our way out of our misery? Damned if we do, damned if we don’t!”
No one can really help you if you find yourself imprisoned in this kind of relationship!
It’s pure and utter hell! I tried to capture that feeling of complete desperation and isolation in this image.

This image is an 8″x10″ original piece, created in acrylic on a canvas board and unframed. This image ships free domestically in a protective package.
Beautiful fields of gold move gently in the wind, with blue skies and a dramatic mountain backdrop. The mountains move forward with vivid colors popping off the canvas. I love creating images with lots of different textures. The sky is filled with cool and warm colors as the bright sun commands your attention. The fields move in the wind, moving your eye in and around the canvas.

“Palm Tree”
https://artcreatedbyallison.etsy.com/listing/1600922689
I love to travel, and one of the most spectacular places I’ve ever visited was Bora Bora in French Polynesia!
A beautiful coral reef surrounds the island. The colors of the reef ranged from turquoise to pink.
In the distance, you could see the haunting island of Moorea. It was almost surreal. I could visualize Paul Gauguin painting his beautiful images on the beach. It was breathtaking!
The island smells of coconuts and smoke, creating a hazy mist enveloping everything.
It took me a while, upon my return to the States, to “get over” the “island fever.” It was like being in another dimension.
One that slowed the clock down and allowed me to do nothing and be okay with it.
To this day, I still remember what it felt like to be in a place where time stood still!
This is an 8″x10″ unframed image created in acrylic on a canvas board. It ships domestically free.

Reflections III 12×12 Acrylic on Paper
https://pixels.com/featured/reflections-iii-allison-constantino.html
We gauge our “progress” by “reflecting” on our lives and concluding our success is “good” or “bad” based on our own set of goals.
The use of reflective images tells the story of reflections. We are constantly looking at ourselves, evaluating ourselves, and reflecting.
However, reflections only reflect; they don’t create.
If we want to better our reflections, we only need to see them for what they are, only past thoughts and not future capabilities.
Seeing the reflection is the first step in changing behavior.

“Stonehenge”

Stonehenge is one of the wonders of the world and the best-known prehistoric monument in Europe. The Stone Circle is an iconic symbol of Britain, with a 4,500 year history as a place of wonder, spirituality and inspiration. “Stormy Weather”

Living in Florida so close to the ocean, I’m able to visit the ocean in all kinds of weather! “Stormy” skies are definitely my favorite because they are the most interesting! The skies become “angry” and the seas whipped up with all kinds of colors surfacing out of the sea! In this case, the rain is actually raining side-ways! I created layer-upon-layer of color, creating a translucent effect and a sense of movement.

“Sumatra Coffee Plantation”

I love Starbucks! I go there almost every morning! I was amazed to learn from purchasing and reading their book, ” Starbucks, Art + Coffee, A Coffee Journey Through the Eyes of Four Artists,” that most coffee growers in Sumatra (and other coffee-growing areas) are small, independent coffee growers. I was so amazed reading about the growers and seeing the actual photos of the plantations as represented in the book that I felt compelled to create something “fun” and “colorful” to honor these amazing coffee growers that provide me with my daily “cup of Joe!” Thank you to all the coffee growers all over the world!

“Sea of Tranquility”

I absolutely love working with “fluid acrylics!” (Acrylic paint that is poured onto a surface, then the surface is tilted to create different effects). I created this piece, “Sea of Tranquility” with the moon in mind, showcasing frozen lakes and craters and images hidden under layers of frozen tundra.

“It’s Just a Matter of Time”

I just completed this painting, inspired by the song, “It’s Just a Matter of Time.” Brook Benton wrote the lyrics and sang the original song and Randy Travis released his popular version in 1989. The lyrics are simple. (see below)

“It’s Just a Matter of Time” lyrics by Brook Benton
Someday, some way, you’ll realize that you’ve been blind. Yes, darling you’re going to need me again, it’s just a matter of time.
Go on, go on, until you reach the end of the line, but, I know you’ll pass my way again, it’s just a matter of time.
After I gave you everything I had, you laughed and called me a clown, remember, in your search for fortune and fame, what goes up must come down.
I know, I know that one day you’ll wake up and find, that my love was a true love, it’s just a matter of time.
“Antelope Canyon”

Antelope Canyon is a slot canyon on Navajo land east of Page, Arizona. The canyon is very popular with tourists and photographers because of the unique shapes of the carved canyon walls and the unique shafts of direct sunlight that radiate down from openings at the top of the canyon. The beautiful mostly sandstone formations were created primarily from rainwater rushing through the canyons, still causing flash flooding today!

“Zen Warrior”

I was listening to music in my car and I heard this incredible song “Zen Warrior,” by British musician, composer Paul Hardcastle. I was so inspired by his song, I came back to my studio and created this image!

“Graceland”

I just completed “Graceland,” inspired by Paul Simon’s music and lyrics. The words completely blew me away!
“…and she said losing love is like a window in your heart, everybody sees you’re blown apart, everybody sees the wind blow.”
I wanted to showcase the beautiful African baobab trees against a colorful bright sky, with shards of glass “blown apart.”
https://pixels.com/featured/graceland-allison-constantino.html
“Time Warp”

“If time is in the 4th dimension, then it’s possible the future isn’t happening in the future, it’s happening now.” B.A. Shapiro “Blind Spot” I’m completely intrigued with the notion that the future might be happening right now in the present. Joshua Warren, a paranormal researcher, claims he’s the first person to discover a time warp, which he found just outside Las Vegas, NV. using what is known as a “differential time rate meter.” Warren claims that for the first time ever he was able to record a measurement showing time had been slowing down for 20 microseconds – something that the laws of physics prove should not occur.
So….if we step through that time warp, what will we see????

“Bora-Bora”

I just completed this piece, “Bora Bora.” I was privileged enough to visit Tahiti, Moorea, and Bora Bora in the Society Islands in French Polynesia. It as as if time actually stood still or maybe moved in reverse. The natives call it “island time,” but it just felt to me like I was in some sort of time warp. The whole island smelled of sweet coconuts. There must have been fires burning, because the whole island was shrouded in a haze. I can still smell the coconuts today! The whole experience seemed completely surreal.

“Black Out”

“Harmony”

“Harmony” is just what it sounds like! I’m bringing earth and sky together as one! I love when I gaze out at the horizon and I can’t tell where earth and sky meet. It all melts into each other!
I wanted to show some movement with the paint and I loved adding the “bubbles” in the waves that give that extra “sparkle” to the piece, like when the sun bounces off the water!

“Bell, Book and Candle”

One of my favorite TV shows is Hallmark Channel’s “The Good Witch.” It’s a series about Cassie Nightingale, a good witch that always seems to know exactly what everyone needs and when they need it! (A nice thing to have!) The name of her mystical retail shop is “Bell, Book and Candle.” I adopted the “feel” to this piece based on her mystical shop full of candles, spices and mystical items that seem to be exactly what someone needs when they need it!
